The Ninth - Charlotte Street - London

Chotto Matte - Soho - London

2015 is here! January marks the struggle to keep those damned New Year's Resolutions.

Sometimes, you just have to strike out every now and then. Give in to a little temptation.

Lately, I seem to have been appointed as Fairy Godmother.

I'm being undulated with requests on where to take a girl out for that all important Post-First-Date location.

Time to up the ante fellas, and seal the deal with the help of Chotto Matte.

It's dark, a little naughty and seriously sexy.

Marco Pierre White's Steak House - Liverpool Street - London

When you're stressed, you develop a few bad habits.

You give in to things, you wouldn't normally give in to.

You do bad things.

Sinful things.

Like this...

MissChu - Aldgate - London

"You ling, we bling!"

After seeing MissChu's slogan on their little delivery bikes, needless to say I was sold.

Big Easy - BBQ & Whisky Master Class - Covent Garden - London *

Man Vs. Food was and still is one of my FAVOURITE shows of all time.

Who doesn't envy Adam Richman, travelling all over America feasting on that fine ass BBQ.

Whilst we sit there salivating. Wishing we were thousands of miles across the Atlantic, getting our hands dirty eating that true American BBQ too.

If only there was some way we could get our hands on it?

Oh wait...

There is!

Since the Big Easy expanded their empire to Covent Garden, in London.

Making it that much easier to have a taste of that all American BBQ from the comfort of your backyard.

It's time to play catch up.  Adam can't have all the fun.

The Perfect Birthday Breakfast

I was dreading my birthday this year.

Signs of an early mid-life crisis maybe?

Marani - Mayfair - London

Courtesy of the fine people at Zomato, I was invited to a secret location, it was kept so under wraps that not even I had heard of the cuisine before.

Until recently, not much is known of Georgian cuisine - it was a secret to almost everyone.

Georgian food has slowly been creeping out of the woodwork.

Hiding in between the winding walkways in Mayfair is Marani; a Georgian restaurant.

With Marani, you're instantly transported back to the 19th century as soon as you step through the doors.

The high ceilings, the hand painted walls and the warm hospitality of the staff all add to the endearing charm of the restaurant.

Viet Eat - Holborn - London

So, I've been trying a get back into shape.

I've never been one that could *gasp* go on a diet.

The thought causes me to crumble into despair.

That, and because I lack self control when it comes to any type of sustenance.

If you're edible.

I will find you, and when I do.  I will eat you.

Vivo - Angel - London

Dessert is the best ice-breaker.

First of all, you're supposed to share.

So... hello spoon action ;]

Secondly, let's be real if you're talking about chocolate and cream, you're already flirting.

Right, now all you need is a location.

So where can you find a place where all the desserts are displayed right in front of you - where you can shamelessly wander around pondering which one you want.

Say hello to Vivo.

Layla - Wimbledon - London

I have to admit that I rarely venture down to the south side of London.

After living in Central for the past 4 years I have been a little spoilt.

Everything I could possibly dream of eating is within walking distance.

The thought of having to travel more than half an hour anywhere is a struggle.

But everything changed when Layla came knocking on my door.

She beckoned me to come down to visit her in the dirty south, all the way down in Wimbledon.

It's hard to say no to such an invitation when she looks like this...

Obica - Fitzrovia - London

Sometimes all I want to do is escape.

Just run off to a secret hiding place, where no one can find me.

Living in the city can be abit too much at times.

It can often leave me with that strong urge to just disappear or teleport somewhere. Anywhere.

Thankfully, one fateful night Obika invited me into his lair.

He was warm, dark, and the best part?

He led me underground.. ;]

Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and into a quiet safe haven with dim, sultry lighting, and soft wooden furnishings.

Shake Shack Vs. Five Guys - Covent Garden - London

Two burger power houses have invaded the UK from the US.

Both trying to compete for glory in the Burger War that has gripped London.

To test which burger had more strength, I needed to go to both burger joints ;]

It's a serious science.
Shake Shack

Originating from a mere hot dog cart in Manhattan, New York back in 2004, ShackShake has taken the US by storm and is now slowly trying to take over the world; one city at a time.

How did ShakeShack fare in London?

For £5.00 I went for the ShackBurger (basically a cheeseburger), plus crinkle cut fries at £2.50 and a caramel frozen custard shake for £4.50.

Armed with my Shake and my Shack Burger I was ready for my experimental testing.

Koba - Fitzrovia - London

This has been the worst Summer so far.

Normally by now I'm frolicking around half naked and attending more barbecues than I can count.

It's now mid-June and I have barely gone to one.

This is an outrage on so many levels.

Luckily for you, I've got many alternatives; so we can have gourmet BBQ's together :P

One of my go-to favourite Korean BBQ Restaurant's is Koba.

He's located in Fitzrovia, hidden just off Tottenham Court Road.

Koba, isn't the largest restaurant but the high ceilings give it an airy/relaxing atmosphere.

So you can gaze up to the sky and shake your fist at the rain clouds.

The Breakfast Club - Angel - London

There is nothing better than brunch.

In fact, scratch that - nothing compares to brunch.

Especially after a long weekend of debauchery.

Let's face it, we've all been there.

Waking up in questionable locations, with that banging headache.

That headache where you know that last night, you were just Awesome.

There is only one destination to nurse that dreaded hangover.

That one place in the city that welcomes you with open arms and fluffy pancakes.

The Breakfast Club.

Sushinho - Liverpool Street - London

I shudder when I see the words 'fusion' and 'Asian' used together in the same sentence.

Normally the outcome is rather...alien.

So, when Sushinho opened up another branch in Liverpool Street, London. (The original restaurant is in Kings Road, London)

I was apprehensive at first.

Brazilian/Japanese sushi...

Hmmm could it work? Or will it force me to have a tantrum?

When it comes what I put in my mouth... I'm normally a traditionalist.  ;]

Gallipoli Bazaar - Angel - London

An empire of Gallipoli restaurants line up along Upper Street, in Angel; London.

It's a pretty bold statement to have THREE of the same restaurants all perched proudly on the same road.

There's Cafe Gallipoli, Gallipoli Bazaar and Gallipoli Again; in that very order.

We decided to go to the one in the middle; Gallipoli Bazaar purely because the interior was the most lavish, dark and cosy.

The deep crimson walls, decadent silk sofas, flickering candle light, and dim Moroccan lamps created that lazy, border line seductive atmosphere.

Honest Burger - Soho - London

Summer is coming.

This means everyone is hitting the gym that bit harder to get those steel abs.

Everyone except me [despite the fact that I should really be training for the British 10k].

So, what do I do instead?

Go hunting for burgers...

I found Honest Burger's second branch hidden away in the side streets of Soho, the original Honest Burger joint is in Brixton.

You know if a restaurant is located opposite flats harbouring signs like this... you have totally hit the jackpot.

Scandalous.

[I jest, I jest] :P
